| New Tax Codes Added for HIRE Act. |

|
As our support team has indicated in prior
communications we are hard at work implementing changes for the SS-R
liability reduction associated with the HIRE Act. This release contains
the first portion of those changes. We have added a new tax code (HA-SS)
which, when added to an ee with SS-R, will reduce the fed liability by
the amount of SS-R. This will in turn reduce the actual deposit that is
made.
You set up eligible employees the same way you always have including
giving them SS-R. The only difference is that for eligible employees you
also give them this new tax code. This new code works the same as SS-R
except that it has a negative amount. When you look at the calculated
liabilities for a payroll you will see all of the standard Federal codes
plus the new HA-SS code. This new code will have a negative amount
associated with it. This new code will be included with the Federal
deposit and will reduce the deposited amount.
This release contains the new code HA-SS along with 3 other similar
codes (HAPR-SS, HA43-SS, and HA43PR-SS) which can be used with either
SS-R, SSPR-R, SS43-R and SS43PR-R. For example if you have a Puerto Rico
company set up with FITWPR and SSPR-R you would use code HAPR-R.
